Our Business Idea

It is not a common thing to do that a person born in Småland, in Sweden, starts doing business in Stockholm and moves on from there to Finland and finally, settles down in Helsinki. There are some pioneers, like those energetic glass-blowers who emigrated from Småland to Finland and founded Iittala Glassworks.

So, I live in Helsinki and run a consulting business since 1983. Our business idea is to assist Swedish companies on the Finnish market and correspondingly, into Sweden. For so far, we have received quite a few commissions. In order to give some idea about our services I will present some selected commissions later in this letter.

I dare to say that I know Finland, as culture, people or business life are concerned. I also have the right contacts. A few years ago they said to me from a larger Swedish company: "If we had met you three years ago, we would not have lost five million marks in Finland because we would have known how to avoid the mistakes". Many businessmen have experienced that you have to have patience in order to be successful in Finland. Nevertheless, as a stubborn person from Småland I can solve most of the problems.

It is easy to find us, our office premises are conveniently located in the centre of Helsinki.


Some examples of our commissions and services:
  • Market research – starting a business - a mailbox firm – recruiting - office premises and business services

  • We have assisted our customers in everything connected with starting a business. At first, we conduct a market research to make sure that there is a market for a product or service in question. We have arranged an address and mail box for the company, alternatively, office premises with all the equipment. As the business has grown we have assisted our clients to find larger premises and to recruit employees.

  • Accounting

  • Accounting is easy for us. We can both the Swedish and Finnish accounting systems and therefore, can easily explain for example what is the difference between value added tax in Sweden and sales tax in Finland.

  • Product selection– product development – manufacturing

  • We have sorted and developed products for our Swedish clients, and shortlisted manufacturers. Most often we have made excellent results. We have solid know-how about how to avoid the mistakes.

  • Agents

  • Our way of recruiting agents is different from the traditional ways. With a competitive product, our way is usually the best one. For a Swedish client it is of crucial importance to understand the Finnish market. Know-how about the markets you get from us.

  • Project Management – Translations – Publishing

  • We co-operate with 150 translators. Translations are available in following languages: English – German, Swedish – Finnish, Finnish – Swedish. Due to our long experience we make perfect translations. We have produced 28 books, translations from several languages into Finnish. Our service includes everything from receiving offers on publishing a book.

  • Mail Order Business

  • We have done practically everything for our clients in the mail order business, market research, establishing a firm, receiving orders and telephone service, address registering addresses, stocking, packing and returns.
